Course Description
Texas DPS requires the following for an official LTC Range Qualification: - Shooters will have Only 2 opportunities to qualify in their session. Each course of fire requires 50 rounds of quality ammunition. (reloaded / remanufactured ammunition is NOT permitted) - Shooters may qualify with a semi-automatic handgun or revolver. - Shooters may dry fire before they qualify, but are not allowed to fire practice rounds prior to qualification. - Shooters will fire from the 3 Yard Line, 7 Yard Line, and 15 Yard Line from the standing position only. - All strings of fire are timed, however reloading is not timed. It is administrative. - Shooters will not draw and fire from a holster. - Any Shooters with a disability / physical limitations or questions should contact the instructor prior. - No Visitors on the range. - No Smoking / Vaping on the range. - No Photography or Videography on the range. All Shooters must bring the following: - Eye Protection (Wrap around) - Hearing Protection - Serviceable Handguns Only (No AR / AK Pistols) - Minimum of 2 magazines for semi-automatic handguns - 100 rounds of quality ammunition (No Reloads) - Gun Oil / CLP - Government Issued Photo ID **Instructor recommends Shooters bring the firearm they intend to conceal carry, dress for the weather, bring a water source, wear a baseball hat, & no open toed footwear.
