Tactical Pistol - Level 1

Course Description

6 Hour course (Plus 1 hour lunch break mid-way) Focused on tactical shooting skills with handguns. Tactical Pistol Level 1 will cover the following: - Range Safety Briefing - Clearing Procedures / 4 Point Safety Check - Loading Procedures - Situational Awareness - OODA LOOP - Effects of Critical Incident Stress - Fundamentals of Marksmanship - Cover vs. Concealment - Firing Positions - Presentation: Drawing from a holster - Reloading: Slide-Lock Reloads / Speed Reloads / Tactical Reloads - Malfunction Clearance Procedures - Dry / Live-Fire Drills - Wyatt Protocol: Post Engagement Procedures All participants must bring the following Items: - Eye Protection (Wrap around) / Prescription Glasses are Acceptable - Hearing Protection - Serviceable Firearm - Minimum of three Magazines - 300 rounds of quality ammunition - Ability to carry 2 magazines - Cleaning kit with Gun Oil / CLP - Government Issued Photo ID - 2 Knee pads (Hardshell type recommended) * Eye Protection, Hearing Protection, and Targets are available at the range for an additional fee. ** Instructor recommends Shooters bring zeroed pistol optic, dress for the weather, bring a water source, wear a baseball hat, & no open toed footwear. - If the Shooter requires assistance zeroing, please contact the Instructor prior.
